![]() But I didn’t give the book a proper look and read-through until a few months ago. ![]() ![]() The combination of watercolor and ink gave the paintings a sketch-like feeling that I loved and that I’m still trying to emulate with my own watercolor paintings. ![]() Skimming through the pages, I immediately fell in love with the artwork and the style. One of those books was The Art of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind: Watercolor Impressions. I started buying what are now a handful of art books both educational and otherwise. So in order to get back on track I decided I should get an art education through books, online classes and tutorials, because not even art can get me to leave the house. After many years without drawing a single line of anything I had completely forgotten any sort of “style” I once had, I knew of them, obviously, and knew some of the characters by looks and by name, I just never watched any of the movies.īut that changed when I wanted to get back into art and sketching in 2018.
